One piece chapter 747 review
I personally didn't like the chapter too much but in an overall perspective it was good and decent to be honest. It's just that I'm so hyped to see more actions and real fights, which we probably are going to get to see in the next chapters or so.
Like in the last chapter, we see several actions and scenes at the same time to let us understand what all the other characters are doing.
Koala is investigating the port and finds out that other countries are smuggling into Dressrosa. She identified it as where all the darkness of countries meet. We don't know for sure what the revolutionary army are planning to do in Dressrosa but things are being foreshadowed here and there.
The 3 most impacting pieces of the chapter were about Pica, the Donquixiote family, and Fujitora.
After a long wait, we get to know more about Pica. The reason why he hasn't spoken was simply because of his high voice...
That scene made me quite laugh. Pica is literally huge and you would expect him to sound like a real man with a deep voice but turns out that he sounds like a child.
We also get a solid character development for Donflamingo. It gets emphasized in this chapter that he really cares and loves his Family members and that they literally mean everything to him. "His mother died when he was 8 and he killed his father when he was 10."
What exactly happened in his past? His identity becomes even more mysterious and hypes the upcoming flashback of him. This seriously will be a very, very interesting one.
The best part for me however was the inner conflict Fujitora is facing right now. He grasps the fact of who the real evil is but can't do anything. He understands that this type of tragedy will be repeated again and again as long as the corrupted Schibukai System continues to exist. He questions the identity of the World Government. "Is the World Government a GOD?" That was really an excellent character development from Oda. Will he betray the Marine and join the Revolutionary Army? The quality and personality he currently exhibits closely resemble the one from the Revolutionary Arm. Or will he be the one to make changes inside the organization, which seems to be more likely as he claimed it to Donflamingo. Fujitora faces Luffy, Zoro, and Law, intending to capture them to achieve his goal as a Marine. We see a short moment where Zoro and Fujitora are crossing their swords. Will the fight continue or be interrupted like always? Personally, I find it a bit too soon for them to fight as especially I don't see Zoro being able to beat an admiral yet.
It was quite obvious but of course Luffy had to laugh at Pica's voice at the end. Will a fight between them occur? If we follow our usual pattern then no. I enjoyed the chapter overall but I seriously demand more actions and fighting like the CP9 arc.
