Hi everyone. The past week has been a roller coaster for me and PAD, so I'll jump right in:
The new Dragon Caller REM has changed up the meta, as expected. The new Arena 4 that has "timely" been introduced almost alongside with this REM really showcased that next level of difficulty GungHo has conjured up. Leaders tackling that dungeon now needs to be tanky (we're talking either atleast 2x HP/RCV or 43%+ shield if you're soloing) AND possibly need to hit higher than Anubis. While it is debatable, the easiest access to these tools are through the new inheritable leader swap card, Rii . By going into a dungeon with a 7x6 lead and swapping it out for a stronger (6x5) one, we get to keep the 7x6 board while having the benefits of a 6x5 lead, evident seen by this video by Dacho .
How is this all relevant to the Tier List at hand? In my opinion, with the shifts in the tier list by Game8 and AppMedia, they are straying away from 3p udr and Arena 3 and slowly starting to use Arena 4 as the basis of comparison. Regardless, the past week or two has definitely been one of those major turning points in PAD history.
Until next week!
Another large shift to the Aggregate Tier list. A lot of cards have their scores dropped and kicked off the list This is because of the introduction of the Greek-Roman God III Pantheon (with cards like Uranus and Cronus), AND the recent introduction of the new Dragon Caller REM and its cards. Not all of these cards have been ranked across all the sites (Sqool hasn't picked up on the Dragon Caller REM yet), so the scores have all been below the Tier 4 threshold.
In addition, with the introduction of the Arena 4, I feel the sites' ranking criteria has changed to reflect that. Game8 and AppMedia has dropped cards from their lower-ranking list, possibly to welcome the 7x6 Cross Meta, which, has become possible with the new inheritable leader swap card, Rii . Game8 has already brought Diara back into their list, probably for this sole reason: a strong 75% shield with a measly 7 combos and a possible 3 fire crosses to burst down tanky bosses in Arena 4 with 7x6 board.
Finally, Light Ideal and Uranus makes their entrance onto the list with their triple 7c awakening. While their leader skill "only" scales up to around 150x Atk, their 3 7c boosts them up to a whopping 150x8=1200x Atk. What has PAD come to?
Notable score drops to a lot of the cards on the list. Diara makes it back on, all as explained above. Check out this video by Dacho over on JP server, if you haven't already, to witness a miracle.
*To the people who didn't understand the point of that video, I'll give a summary of what's happening. The dungeon he's running is Arena 4, with uevos of bosses that are all very annoying to deal with and has tons of HP. Hundreds of millions of HP each with large preempts, awakening binds, and the like.
What he and I wanted to showcase is how you can run 6x5 leads, but keep the 7x6 board, which gives a huge advantage, especially to damage cross teams like Kenshin or Diara, as shown. This was possible when he stalled out Rii's active skill, which is shown around 13:40 of the video.
Perhaps a better video to showcase it would be from Reco's clear, since everyone will be more familiar with Kenshin. He took in Ilmina to start to have the 7x6 board, and when Kenshin's inherit Rii came up he swapped back to duo Kenshin and swept the rest of Arena 4. Ridiculous.
We're starting to see the sheer dominance of the 7x6 boards, proven by the fact that Diablos now stands alone at the top on AppMedia here AND Game8. Cards with smaller scale to their Atk multiplier are seeing hits in their Tier list standings.
